Specific grading criteria will accompany each assignment.<\/p>\n<p><em>Grade Breakdown<\/em>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/sites.dwrl.utexas.edu\/davis\/courses\/animal-rhetorics\/assignments-and-grades\/reading-posts\/\">Reading Posts.\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0Six sets of informal notes analyzing\/exploring key issues in the readings + at least one thoughtful response to a classmate\u2019s post, all submitted\u00a0on the\u00a0class discussion board on Canvas. (6 x 5pts = 30%)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/sites.dwrl.utexas.edu\/davis\/courses\/animal-rhetorics\/assignments-and-grades\/argument-paper\/\">Argument Paper<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/sites.dwrl.utexas.edu\/davis\/courses\/animal-rhetorics\/assignments-and-grades\/argument-paper\/\">\u00a0<\/a>. A 3-4 page argument paper, submitted to Canvas, grounded in some aspect of the course readings so far, plus a self-analysis of the argument (15%)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/sites.dwrl.utexas.edu\/davis\/courses\/animal-rhetorics\/assignments-and-grades\/video-argument\/\">Video Argument<\/a>. A short video slideshow argument, created from images in iMovie or Moviemaker, grounded in some aspect of the course readings (20%)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/sites.dwrl.utexas.edu\/davis\/courses\/animal-rhetorics\/assignments-and-grades\/rhetorical-animal-presentation\/\">Rhetorical Animal Presentation<\/a>. A researched presentation, in groups of 2-3, using online presentation software on the rhetorical propensities of a selected species of animal.\u00a0(10%)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/sites.dwrl.utexas.edu\/davis\/courses\/animal-rhetorics\/assignments-and-grades\/rhetorical-bestiary-entry\/\">Rhetorical Bestiary Entry<\/a>.\u00a0A researched \u201centry\u201d for the class\u2019s online rhetorical bestiary, produced using a free version of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/storymaps.arcgis.com\/en\/\">StoryMaps<\/a> software.
