Practice Peer Review<\/h2>\n
You’ll have approximately 40 minutes to complete your peer reviews (20 minutes each).<\/div>\n

  1. Sign into\u00a0Canvas<\/a>, go to Assignments, and click the Practice Analysis<\/strong> assignment (not<\/strong> the Practice Peer Review). In the Submission Details box, click the student name under Assigned Peer Reviews. Click the View Feedback link to the right of\u00a0the uploaded paper link (not the link to the paper itself). That will open Crocodoc preview.<\/li>\n
  2. You\u2019ll see Crocodoc tools up at the top: Magnifying glass to zoom in or out, a Comment icon to leave various sorts of comments on the page, a download icon to download this paper (you\u2019ll do this at the end), and a page arrow to scroll up or down on the page.<\/li>\n
  3. Read the paper through once very closely, using the Crocodoc tools to\u00a0quickly<\/strong> note surface errors, make at least a few specific comments, or offer organizational suggestions, but don\u2019t spend a great deal of time editing your partner\u2019s paper.<\/li>\n
  4. ((If there is no View Feedback link, you\u2019ll need to download the paper, open it in Word, and use the Review tools to leave your feedback on the paper. Save the paper on your desktop when you\u2019re finished, and click the Upload File link on canvas (same place you downloaded the paper), select your document, and upload. Hit save.))<\/li>\n
  5. Spend the bulk of your time carefully responding to the conceptual prompts inside the rubric<\/em> attached to this assignment, offering very specific and concrete suggestions wherever possible.\u00a0To use the rubric, click Show\u00a0Rubric<\/em> to open it, and then for each entry, click View Longer Description<\/em> to see the specific prompts you should consider in the accompanying text box. Each time you add comments to a comment field, go to the bottom of the rubric and click SAVE.<\/strong> If you don\u2019t click save before you close the rubric, you\u2019ll lose your comments.<\/li>\n
  6. Download a copy of your review:\u00a0<\/b>To be certain your work doesn\u2019t evaporate into the ether, go to the Crocodoc toolbar at the top of your peer\u2019s paper, and hit the download icon. Select \u201cdownload the annotated pdf.\u201d Save the file to your desktop, and email it to yourself.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    To see the feedback left for you by your own peer reviewers, view the assignment\u2019s submission details.\u00a0When you\u2019re finished, you may go.
