Any list of possible emotions\/feelings will necessarily be partial, even when it claims to be “ultimate.” But take 5 minutes to look over both this list<\/a> and this list<\/a> to begin to build your emotional vocabulary.<\/p>\n

Then, in groups of 3-4 (20-ish minutes):<\/p>\n

  1. Share with one another the image you posted.<\/li>\n
  2. Explain how this image makes you feel.<\/li>\n
  3. Describe what it is about this image that stirs<\/em> those feelings.<\/li>\n
  4. Explain what behavior or attitude these feelings may make possible. Do they inspire you to do something? To believe something or become more (or less) convinced of something?<\/li>\n
  5. What is it that you already believe that makes it possible for this image to provoke the feelings it provokes in you? And what must you already believe for those feelings to provoke the behavior or attitude you described in number 4?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    All groups report out.<\/p>\n

    PART II<\/strong><\/p>\n

    In your same groups, analyze each of your group’s assigned images (snatched from the web) by responding to these same questions:<\/p>\n

    1. Describe what this image makes you<\/em> feel–just talking about you<\/em> right now.<\/li>\n
    2. Describe what aspects of this image provoke those feelings and how they work to provoke it.<\/li>\n
    3. Describe\u00a0what sort of\u00a0behavior or attitude <\/i>these feelings inspire in you. Do they inspire you to do something? To believe something? Buy something? Support a cause or organization? \u00a0Vote a certain way? Donate money? Become more conscious or aware of a problem?<\/li>\n
    4. What is it that you already believe that makes it possible for this image to provoke the feelings it provokes in you? And what must you already believe for those feelings to provoke the behavior or attitude you described in number 3?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
