Salad<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Chop, slice, dice, mix<\/p>\n

So many wonderful vegetables in the midst<\/p>\n

Tomato creeps in, hiding in mystery<\/p>\n

He\u2019s been there for years, relying on history<\/p>\n

Who knows if he belongs, but he sure fits in<\/p>\n

Nothing wrong with a tomato, so free of sin<\/p>\n

Croutons enter and the gang goes cold<\/p>\n

Adding bread to the group seems a decision so bold<\/p>\n

What will he do with little nutritious value?<\/p>\n

He says he shall add crunch and they respond, \u201cShall you?\u201d<\/p>\n

A consensus arrives and the bread is evicted<\/p>\n

Too many strangers and the world will change<\/p>\n

At least that what the gods predicted<\/p>\n

So they try to add chicken, free range<\/p>\n

The chicken blends well, although not of the kind<\/p>\n

The vegetables agree with him, they don\u2019t seem to mind<\/p>\n

Turning their creation into a full-blown meal<\/p>\n

That\u2019s all the chicken does, and at least it\u2019s not veal<\/p>\n

Perhaps a cooked salmon, could strive to intertwine<\/p>\n

But definitely no other bird or beast, especially swine<\/p>\n

Spinach and lettuce, are the kings of the bowl<\/p>\n

Looking to tomatoes and cucumbers to play their role<\/p>\n

Carrots and red onions, thinly they were sliced<\/p>\n

Just sticking to the leaders, glued to them like tasty lice<\/p>\n

Still they feel uncomfortable, maybe a new friend?<\/p>\n

Perhaps a pineapple or a mango, peaking out the bend<\/p>\n

No! The soldiers yell, you will not invade today!<\/p>\n

You are not of our kind, with your own you should play<\/p>\n

The tomato sits aside, biting back a fiery verse<\/p>\n

But he will simply watch, for being on the other side is worse<\/p>\n

The fruits do not take him, do not play with him as their own<\/p>\n

So he has been exiled to the vegetables, destined to be alone<\/p>\n

But the plight of the tomato could always be much worse<\/p>\n

He could be on the potato level of the curse<\/p>\n

The potato was banished, so he left his friends to be alone<\/p>\n

Only among eggs and mayonnaise, did he find a home<\/p>\n

Vegetables did not look at him, or even acknowledge him as their own<\/p>\n

They treated him like a dog to whom they never threw a bone<\/p>\n

The veggies of course, did not worry, except about themselves<\/p>\n

Back they looked, for other friends were coming from the shelves<\/p>\n

A pair of friends arrive, asking for a talk<\/p>\n

They seem to be salt and pepper, hand in hand they walk<\/p>\n

One is quite charming, and the other a following little brother<\/p>\n

How could they accept one and not accept the other?<\/p>\n

After a few moments, the deal seems very clear<\/p>\n

Pepper will not join, unless salt also stays here<\/p>\n

Begrudgingly, vegetables agree, they see what they must do<\/p>\n

And so it was that salt and pepper, were thrown away like poo<\/p>\n

Still they remained naked, not a covering in sight<\/p>\n

But alas in the distance, some cheese has taken flight<\/p>\n

Its heading straight for them, not a single place to hide<\/p>\n

But then a quite large figure appears right by their side<\/p>\n

It thwarts away the cheese, breaks it as easily as a branch<\/p>\n

But who was it that saved them, you guessed it, it was ranch!<\/p>\n

They were thrilled to see that they were saved, and more excited for their friend<\/p>\n

As they hugged the wait was over, they now all waited for THE END.<\/p>\n

Meats<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Steak, grill, fry, or bake<\/p>\n

Feed it grass let it drink from the lake<\/p>\n

Cow so mean, make the meat all lean<\/p>\n

Pair it with a side of taters and green beans<\/p>\n

Well done, go home, medium is the max<\/p>\n

Medium-rare the king, everyone else just jacks<\/p>\n

Cook it rare if you\u2019re crazy, or just like the blood<\/p>\n

But at that point just kill it, and eat straight out the mud<\/p>\n

Hunter or gatherer, we all love steak<\/p>\n

Disregard whatever the vegetarians think<\/p>\n

Eating seafood makes me want to step on a rake<\/p>\n

If the vegans had their way I\u2019d never see that perfect pink<\/p>\n

Right when I cut in I can tell right away<\/p>\n

\u201cYes its good waiter, now leave so I can play\u201d<\/p>\n

And by play I mean eat, like I\u2019m Zeke on the ball<\/p>\n

If I can\u2019t eat steak, what\u2019s the point of eating at all?<\/p>\n

Chicken, finger lickin\u2019 good, no KFC<\/p>\n

But you can see me eating that fowl luxury<\/p>\n

Delicious and simple, my type of meat<\/p>\n

One of the only birds that can\u2019t leave its feet<\/p>\n

Like its cousin turkey, but he\u2019s for feasts<\/p>\n

Chicken is so versatile it can feed any beasts<\/p>\n

Bread it, cook it, fill it with parm<\/p>\n

Or fry it dip it, and let the sauce run on your arm<\/p>\n

Buy it alive, dead, or cooked & season how you want<\/p>\n

Preparation so easy, I spend more time trying to choose a font<\/p>\n

Nuggets of all kinds<\/p>\n

Dino, standard, starred, all with fires<\/p>\n

Ketchup on the side, give it a smooth dunk<\/p>\n

Anyone who hates it probably eats junk<\/p>\n

Eat a burger, then another one<\/p>\n

\u2018Cause a burger is the most delicious that is on a bun<\/p>\n

All the fixings, every single one<\/p>\n

And if you miss my hot sauce then you better go and run<\/p>\n

1 patty, 2 patty, all the way to 3<\/p>\n

3 third pound patties means a pound of meat for me<\/p>\n

Slice it up, onions and tomatoes<\/p>\n

Even throw the jalapenos for the extra flavors<\/p>\n

Leaf of lettuce, fluff it up real nice<\/p>\n

Butter top and bottom bun, and then you do it twice<\/p>\n

Sesame, that\u2019s what type of seed<\/p>\n

We put it on the bun of the food that you really need<\/p>\n

Not just want, you can\u2019t live without it<\/p>\n

With burgers all up in your mouth, heaven\u2019s here, we found it<\/p>\n

Dripping out, there\u2019s a little sauce<\/p>\n

Let it drip and show the world you really are a boss<\/p>\n

\u2018Cause you eating, grass fed burger meat<\/p>\n

Healthy cows make healthy beef\u2026 that\u2019s a treat!<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s take your average sausage<\/p>\n

And we\u2019ll put it in a bun<\/p>\n

And just so it gets the message<\/p>\n

It\u2019ll be surrounded so it can\u2019t run<\/p>\n

Because it will get lonely<\/p>\n

In the bun all by itself<\/p>\n

We will add some cheese not only<\/p>\n

For happiness but also good health<\/p>\n

Jalapenos should be added too, for a little spice<\/p>\n

This is not your average breakfast, in fact its twice as nice<\/p>\n

A simple food makes little trouble sitting in the freezer<\/p>\n

Heat it up, you have yourself an entire full meal teaser<\/p>\n

Although its cousin from Chicago will say it\u2019s the best<\/p>\n

Its sweet bread and savory juices make kolaches far above the rest<\/p>\n

If you don\u2019t know what I\u2019m saying, you must give it a try<\/p>\n

You will see kolaches are made for everyone, even you and I<\/p>\n

All these delicious meats, they are a family to me<\/p>\n

From steak to chicken to burgers, and even to kolaches<\/p>\n

They should all be eaten, once and then again<\/p>\n

For meats make the world go around 10 days out of 10<\/p>\n

I hope that you have learned a bit about my love for meats<\/p>\n

Some people like candy, but I like my salty flavored treats<\/p>\n

They make me feel secure, and build me up so strong<\/p>\n

If you don\u2019t like meats, I\u2019m sorry, but you\u2019re wrong.<\/p>\n

Snow<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

How can you be described, when you are a part of so much<\/p>\n

Surrounding all of us, covering almost everything we touch<\/p>\n

Your solid grip preserves what is far and what is near<\/p>\n

With you covering it we can leave it out with no fear<\/p>\n

Occasionally you don\u2019t know your strength and are added to excess<\/p>\n

But then we try to shovel you off, maybe add some to the rest<\/p>\n

You slide off noses and fingertips, dripping to the ground<\/p>\n

You can also be found on tables, usually in a mound<\/p>\n

You have a twin who looks like you, but is about 10x more sweet<\/p>\n

To mix you up would be a disaster akin to losing an entire fleet<\/p>\n

I prefer your taste on most my foods, regardless of what they are<\/p>\n

I will even find you lining glasses at a margarita bar<\/p>\n

Since time has started you have been integral to life<\/p>\n

If I had no love for women, I\u2019m sure you would be my wife<\/p>\n

Some will say that they don\u2019t like you, which is only their own fault<\/p>\n

I for one, will always favor you, the lord of spices: salt.<\/p>\n

Angel<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

As I stood, I saw her floating, hair blowing in the wind<\/p>\n

Something about her golden locks make me feel like I have sinned<\/p>\n

It must be wrong to love her so, this beauty that is mine<\/p>\n

But it was me who made her grow, to curly from a line<\/p>\n

I cared so much I sprinkled her, with her favorite crystal gems<\/p>\n

Though she never called me sir, she is the flower to my stems<\/p>\n

She gives me strength to run and jump, and conquer all my fears<\/p>\n

And with her friends she stands alone, superior to her peers<\/p>\n

If I could, I would consume her every night and every day<\/p>\n

Unfortunately for me, I care how much I weigh<\/p>\n

In my eyes she\u2019s best naked, except a little butter<\/p>\n

Too much sauce and she begins to taste like any other<\/p>\n

Although her siblings may do best with a lot of cheese<\/p>\n

Her graciousness deserves only to be worshipped on the knee<\/p>\n

Her presence is a miracle, especially here on earth<\/p>\n

Even Benjamin Button would eat her every day from death till birth<\/p>\n

Across the entire world, even Italians can\u2019t compare<\/p>\n
