Hello! I am a PhD student in Mexican American and Latina/o Studies at the University of Texas at Austin. I am currently a teaching assistant in the department’s MAS 301: Introduction to Mexican American Latina/o/x Studies and work as a Digital Learning Specialist in the Digital Writing and Research Lab.

Currently, my research project examines the men of color who participate in the online communities of involuntary celibates, or incels. I am interested in the ways these men construct racialized forms of masculinity in this unique online space where misogyny and white supremacist ideologies are givens.

My other research interests include: digital public theories, Latinx digital counterpublics, and how new media and technology are changing notions of Latinidad.
