Your advertisement reads luxury. I’m sure anyone with a high class sense of direction will take a double look at your advertisement. Even having the car parked in front of Prada showcases the audience you are trying to attract. I suppose Prada and Volvo would actually make a great team together.

I agree with Shayla Myers about it being read as a luxury car. I am guessing that your targeted audience is a group of high class wealthy people who enjoy shopping. To get specific about the audience that you targeted you added a well known luxury store “Prada” to show that the audience has great taste for fashion or style.

  3. Henry Barragan

There are a lot of dark colors in this advertisement. The Prada store is in the background showing different stylish clothes. The car is in front of the store probably shows that people who drive this car will also like stylistic clothes. It looks like the picture was taken during night.
I believe the audience for this advertisement is for people who want Volvos who love fashion. Due to the fact that the car is parked in front of a Prada store and shows a lot of stylistic clothes. It might also be focus on people who love to go out at night, so it’s targeting the people stylistic people of the night.
Some of the elements I see in this advertisement is that the car is being described as a luxury vehicle. So it’s not necessarily being advertise as a car that anyone could buy. However it’s not for the super-rich either. Due to the fact that it’s still an SUV, so it’s pointing towards the people with family members but also like style.
We can see that the descriptions given in the advertisement fit with the style that the car is put in with. Such as when the car is described as “elegant.” It’s aiming for the woman and men who enjoy the fast life of fashion and luxury. Due to the fact that the car is centered around a very well-known and expensive fashion store.

Henry, you are correct in who the advertisement is trying to target. You interpreted the placement of the vehicle in relation to who I was getting this to. In regards to the color scheme there really only subconscious as this was more of personal choice. I picked black because in reality I feel that black goes with every other color. It may also look darker because I lowered the brightness in order to make it seem more natural.

  5. I think this ad is very nicely done. Like Henry mentions, the Volvo probably isn’t intended for the SUPER wealthy, but rather people who want to dress as though they were wealthy and also want to enjoy some night life. The same is probably true for Prada, which is expensive but not completely out of range. The ad is very “classy.”
