Adventures Around Austin

I left a digital trail around Austin by visiting and taking pictures of some of my favorite places in the city. To start my trek around Austin I began by going to the Graffiti Park at Castle Hills. I had never seen something like this before in my hometown. I think it adds to Austin’s character.  This wasn’t my first time going but I like to go every once in a while to see how the art changes. You can even bring a spray paint can and add to the wall too! I used my phone to take a lot of pictures here. This spot is unique and worth checking out

On my next stop I took my puppy, Mila, to Zilker park.  I have been to Zilker before for the ACL music festival in the fall, but I had never gone just to hang out. If you are a dog lover, then this is the place to be. My dog got to run around off leash while also being surrounded by other playful dogs. Everyone there was very friendly and enjoying the sunshine. I really liked going here because there was so much to do. There were dogs running around, people having picnics, playing soccer, and playing beach volleyball. I was off of my phone most of the time while I was here.

I ended my adventurous day in Austin watching the sunset at Mount Bonnell. I was expecting more of a traditional hike instead of stairs, but it was still fun. I used the gps on my phone to help find the trail. Once I made it to the top I used my phone to take pictures of the sunset overlooking the water. This was a relaxing spot to end the day. It has a beautiful view and I highly recommend this spot to those who want to explore the city.

Phones can take pictures and give you updates about events going on in Austin, but phones can also be very distracting. Looking forward to continue exploring Austin in the next year! Do you have a favorite place? Let me know and I’ll check it out!
