Tiffany’s epic journey in Austin

Over the past two years, Austin has not only been a place where I go to school, but also became my home where I can enjoy myself by exploring different sites and finding out what interests me the most. This semester, I’ve done many cool things that I know would become memorable experiences for me in the future.

This picture was taken during an show at Emo’s. One of my favorite EDM artists, Excision, came to Austin and showed us how to party. I had a blast. The venue was super packed and people were literally standing so close to each other that it made it impossible to dance or “headbang” at all. However, this did not stop me from having fun. I had been looking forward to his show since last year and Excision did not let me down.

Just two days before Excision came to Austin, I celebrated my one year anniversary with my boyfriend at Uchi and Mount Bonnell. It felt nice just sitting there on the rocks and enjoying the view. I also had my camera ready to take some pictures of some nice scenery. I am so jealous of the people who live right next to Mount Bonnell and get to watch the sunset everyday.

Not too long ago, my friends and I made an impulsive decision to watch Get Out at the movies. I’ve heard many good reviews about the movie, but never really had the courage to go see it. I wasn’t prepared at all because I never watched the trailer and I didn’t know what to expect. One day, my friends randomly texted me and asked if I wanted to see it and I was like: “Hell yeah!”

It was a great movie. It was different than the other horror movies I’ve seen because there was some kind of psychological aspect in it and that made it really cool.

This semester has been treating me well so far and I’m excited to see what more Austin has to offer for the next few years of my college experience.
